Advent begins next Sunday and the Christian Education Committee is preparing for a special mission project at our annual Advent Workshop.
One of the many activities for that event will be a “Pack-A-Purse” station, where participants of all ages can fill up a women’s purse with necessities: tissues, toiletries, first aid kits, gloves, socks, etc. These filled purses will be given to women in shelter settings as a special gift. What we need now are your gently used purses of any size, plus things to fill them with—travel-size shampoo/conditioner, hand sanitizer, warm winter gloves, lotions, new cosmetics, wallets, makeup remover wipes, pens, small notepads, nail files. Purses may be gently used, but we respectfully request that all filler items be new.
Donations can be dropped off to Joel Morien’s office before Wednesday, November 26. Thank you!
