September 28, 2025 – “The Stewardship of Enough”
Overview
What a meaningful worship service we shared yesterday. We gathered to ask powerful questions about finding contentment in a world that always demands more.
Guiding our reflection was our honored guest, Reverend Dr. John Wilkinson, the new Director of Ministry Engagement and Support for Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He delivered an insightful sermon titled, “The Stewardship of Enough,” which gave us all much to ponder.
The service was made even more special by a moving “Sesquicentennial Story” from Nancy Siewert and a beautiful performance of “Shelter Me, O God” by Teresa Schoffelman & Georjeanna Wilson-Doenges.
September 21, 2025 – “All The More Reason To Pray”
Overview
In a world filled with challenges and uncertainty, we were reminded that prayer wasn’t just our refuge—it was our connection to the God who never gives up on us.
This past Sunday, Pastor Katie Estes shared why prayer matters more than ever, especially when we were interceding for others. We explored how our prayers drew us closer to God and opened our hearts to serve with love. What we experienced:
• Inspiring worship with beloved hymns like “This is My Song” and “For the Healing of the Nations”
• Beautiful special music featuring “The Lord’s Prayer”
• A powerful message from 1 Timothy 2:1-7 • Time for children with Joel Morien
• Prayers for our community and world All were welcomed as they were—whether they were facing their own struggles or simply wanted to lift others up in prayer. It was a reminder that God’s steadfast love endures forever, and there’s always room at His table.
“We are not alone; we live in God’s world.”
September 14, 2025 – “Even Just One”
Overview
The service centers on God’s persistent love for the lost and wayward, drawing from Luke 15:1-10 (the parables of the lost sheep and lost coin). Pastor Katie Estes’s sermon “Even Just One” emphasizes how God rejoices over finding even a single person who was lost.
The Blessing of the Backpacks is a back-to-school service, offering prayers and blessings for students, teachers, and educators as they begin the academic year.
The service emphasizes themes of being found by God, experiencing divine mercy and forgiveness, and extending that same welcoming love to others – particularly those who feel lost or excluded. The confession acknowledges human failings while the assurance promises God’s unfailing grace and restoration.
September 7, 2025 – “An Easy Choice”
Overview
The scripture called us to hear the choices God sets before us: life and prosperity or death and adversity. In our service this past Sunday, we gathered to confront that profound choice.
Together, in a world with unclear directions, we sought God’s guidance through prayer, song, and scripture. It was a time where we confessed our failings, received the assurance of God’s limitless grace, and shared in the peace of Christ.
Our community was invited to the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion as we sought to walk on the paths God intends for us. It was a morning of peace and renewal, and all were welcome
