July 27th, 2025 – “A Way To Follow” & Commission For Youth Triennium Worship
We were overjoyed to commission our youth and leaders as they prepared to head to the 2025 Presbyterian Youth Triennium in Louisville! After six years, we were thrilled to send them off with the prayers and love of our community for that incredible time of fellowship, worship, and growth.
That theme of embarking on a new journey continued in Pastor Katie Estes’ sermon, “A Way To Follow.” Through a unique dramatic monologue from the perspective of Levi, we dove into Mark 2:13-17 and explored what it means when Jesus calls us to follow him.
It was a morning filled with celebration, powerful music, and a message of God’s incredible, inclusive love. We hope you were able to be there!
July 20th, 2025 – “The Sign of Jonah” Worship
We continued our dramatic monologues from biblical characters this weed, our own Mike Melton brings us the sermon this week from the perspective of Jonah, the reluctant prophet. We are especially pleased to have Mike sharing God’s Word for us, as it was just over six months ago that he underwent a bone marrow transplant and the congregation held a prayer vigil for him.
July 13th, 2025 – “Freed To Serve” Worship & Installation of New Deacons and Elders
On Sunday, a joyous and significant day was held as we had an Ordination and Installation service for our newly elected Deacons and Elders. We joined in prayer and celebration as they were called to serve our congregation. Our sermon was a moving and unique experience. Pastor Katie Estes delivered “Freed to Serve,” a dramatic monologue from the perspective of Onesimus, as we delved into the powerful message of the book of Philemon.
Our worship was filled with beautiful music, including:
Prelude: “Gather Us In” Special Music: “Lord, Forever at Your Side” Hymns: “Take My Life” & “Will You Let Me Be Your Servant”
